The Whales Need Our Help!

Grey whales have been recently washing up dead on the west coast in numbers that haven't been seen in decades. At least 70 grey whales have washed up dead this year along the coasts of California, Oregon, and Washington. The estimated number of dead whales is around 10 times this number as most don't wash up on shore. Scientists say the whales seem to be malnourished and show signs of starvation, which is likely a direct result of global warming. The increase in global temperatures has warmed up the ocean's temperatures near Alaska where these whales feed and has negatively affected their food source. When these whales are malnourished they are much more likely to get into negative human accidents such as being hit by ships and getting entangled. To raise awareness for protection of these amazing animals we will be donating 10% of proceeds from all product sales to Whales.org, an organization that has been working for the conservation of whales and dolphins for over 30 years. You can learn more about the work they do on their website and the importance of the role that whales play in our global ecosystems.
